19/09/2014 - In todays lesson I carried on with my three essays analysing a digipak, website and music video. Today I started on my digipak essay looking at Florence and the machines album 'Lungs'. Analysing the album has been useful because I am discovering more conventions for not only a digipak but also for the indie music genre. It can be hard to make a detailed analysis as it is easy to miss some of the subtle messages that artists have tried to make through their album, website and music video. However by taking my time I think I am covering most of the conventions that have tried to been portrayed by the artists. Over the weekend I am going to complete my essay analysing one of Florence and the machines music videos. This will probably be my longest essay but will help the group as we will be able to get a better picture about how we want our final product to look through the conventions of other artists within our genre.
